Case study · Small-business website · the one most like your job
Matt Rooney DJ.
A one-person business that needed to look like the premium option, load instantly on two bars of signal in a barn, and be editable without a developer.
Live at mattrooneydj.co.uk · built and run by T19 Digital
The problem
Nine years of gigs and thirty-plus venues of reputation — and a website that undersold all of it. Wedding couples research on phones, on patchy venue wifi, at 11pm; the site had to be fast, warm and answer the money question without a phone call.
What we built
- Real pricing on the homepage — the thing wedding suppliers famously refuse to do
- Thirty-six venue pages covering Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside, because “DJ at your venue” is exactly what couples search
- A multi-step enquiry form that feels like a conversation, wired to instant notifications and WhatsApp
- A looping hero video that still leaves pages loading in under a second — everything heavy was cut or deferred
- Consent-gated analytics, so measurement without a cookie guilt trip
- A seasonal layer: the Christmas banner and party push switch on when the calendar says so
Under the bonnet, in plain English
This is the £1,500–£2,100 website service in the wild, on the founder’s own business — including the discipline of publishing prices in an industry that hides them, which promptly became T19’s signature move.
What this proves for your project
If you are a trade, venue, clinic or studio, this is your shape of project: premium look, phone-first speed, findable for the searches your customers actually make, and every word editable by the owner.
