There is one small banner, and until you answer it nothing analytics-related has loaded. No advertising, no third-party fonts, no social pixels — and no profiling, ever.
What an ordinary visit sets
No cookies, until you say yes. Arrive, browse the whole site, ignore the banner, and nothing is written to your device. Google does receive an anonymous page count — no identifier, nothing that ties visits together — which is what analytics looks like with storage switched off. Fonts are served from this domain rather than Google, so your IP address is not shared with a font service either.

Neither Google cookie exists unless you press yes: until then the tag runs in a mode that cannot write to your device at all. To change your mind, clear this site's storage in your browser and the banner returns.
The two exceptions that apply either way

Strictly necessary items do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, because the service cannot work without them. Analytics is not in that category, which is why it waits for your answer.
The contact form
The form and the "ask a question" assistant are provided by Lead Capture AI and load from leadcaptureai.co.uk. Nothing loads until you scroll to the contact section, and the assistant loads nothing at all until you click it. If you use them, they may set their own strictly-necessary cookies to run the conversation. Don't want that? Email or ring us instead — details are in the footer, and you will get the same answer.
If we ever add analytics
We now use Google Analytics 4, and here is precisely how, because the distinction matters. The Google tag is present on every page, but it starts in a consent-denied mode: it writes nothing to your device, sets no cookies, and cannot recognise you as a returning visitor. An anonymous page count reaches Google either way. Press yes and it switches to full measurement; press no and it stays in that storage-free mode for good, and we never ask again. We changed from refusing to load the tag at all — which was stricter than the law asks and had the side effect that Google's own checks could not see it — to this, which is the approach the regulations are written around.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour both by default, in the sense that we have nothing to disable.
